the actual event itself, with numerous cultural events running
in the lead up to the actual street parades on Carnival Monday
and Tuesday.
more recently soca has replaced calypso as the most celebrated
type of music. The costumes seen in carnival include a mix of
the “traditional mas” and the “new mas”, Rio Style.
Give me Original any day. I would like to register in the Earth Section. Easy costume to play mass in. Where is the band coming out from? I will email my size.

ReplyDeleteNo it isn't all funds the band generates after expenses will be funding the promotion of the movement to provide mentoring for both young males and females, attacking the root causes for the problems in T&T. Crime, Poverty, youth without a vision.

ReplyDeleteThis band is a production of members of the Roman Catholic Church with the approval of the Parish Priest and members of the Clergy and support of the Archbishop.
Those who believe in the the vision, tell your friends, buy a jersey, spread the news that God lives in all of us in the gifts of the steelbands man, the mas designer, the calypsonian, the carnival. Its always what we do with his gift. We just want to show that we can use his gifts in this world in a positive way, and to influence all to do so.
ReplyDeleteThis band will be bringing out a section for the handicaped, the elderly to be able to enjoy and experience all that is good in the mas. We are inviting families to experience what celebrating life and gift is all about. In so doing we are telling the story on God's relationship with his people in the portrayal of the mas. Be Blessed.
Will any kind of financial statement(s) be released afterward, showing which Programmes (and how much) are the beneficiaries (if there is excess)
